Meet Nikki at DREAM’s Howl-O-Weenie 2014

News October 1, 2014

I’m super excited to announce the event I’ll be at this weekend, DREAM’s (Dachshund Rescue, Education, Awareness, and Mentoring) Howl-O-Weenie 2014! Isn’t that name just too adorable?

The event is kind of a big deal, last year Howl-O-Weenie hosted over 2000 people and 900 dogs! There’ll be tons of cute little contests for your dachshund doggie to participate in: Costume Contest, Howling Contest, Face Kissing Contest, Races, and Bobbing for Hot Dogs.

DREAM is a great group, they provide rescue for abandoned, abused, and unwanted dachshunds and dachshund mixes. The dogs are fully vetted and placed in a foster home until they find their “forever” home. All dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested and/or treated for heartworm and intestinal parasites and microchipped for identification and for recovery purposes if they are ever lost. Last year, DREAM saved over 170 dogs and they are aiming to help even more this year.

I’ll have a vendor table in the park selling custom cartoon pet portraits, made on the spot! And I’ll be donating 10% of all my sales to DREAM so I can help out their cause. Also, check out the dachshund doggie contests because I’m bringing something really cool to donate for the prize baskets!

Howl-O-Weenie is this Saturday, October 4th, at 10am to 5pm. Check it out at Brook Run Park in Dunwoody, Georgia. Hope to see you guys there!
